Yasir Sahir is a climber and all-rounder from Masqat, Oman. Sahir is currently the captain of lastplace1414. Sahir was a late bloomer, not having owned a bike until his 22nd birthday. He spent a season on JOPA Amateur Team before the team turned pro in 2009, then Spanish Club Ciclista Riaza immediately contacted JOPA management and bought out Sahir's contract. He failed to produce any results with Club Ciclista Riaza, then was bought by an up-and-coming Torreira team. Sahir played a major part in the team's rapid ascension from Division 8 to Division 1, and he is still closely-associated with the team today. He was traded to disco cycling team when Torreira decided to focus on sprinting, but he was unhappy and left the team for Dutch Ursus RT. However, Ursus RT folded in only half a season later, and Sahir was again left to look for a job. According to itisix, manager of Torreira, "never before has a rider the caliber of Yasir been treated so callously! I hope he finds career rejuventation with lastplace1414!"
To procure Sahir, lastplace1414 received SNAOTR loans from alberta 1, speedyb, and trackstah07, totalling about $150k.
