History[]

Erskine Pettis helped Roderick Soule carve out the downhill niche in OCM to make it into the competitive segment that it is today. Pettis formed a formidable downhill duo with Damin Iacob for trackstah07 during its downhill specialty days. Almost all of the damage he did on the slopes was with faithful domestique Guglielmo Enrico by his side. Later in his trackstah07 career he was also joined by Sebastian 'Supermate' Amor.

During his retirement press conference, Pettis credited 'Captain' Kirk Russel as the man who really helped him hone his craft in the early days of his career. He also cited Landon Tolman as a driving influence for his success. Pettis and Tolman began their respective careers as teammates on a Toronto youth squad before turning pro together with Bolt. They spent time racing together for the Canadian national team along with fellow Bolt alum Cary Shutts, then they reunited on the American squad speedyb as they hit the twilight of their careers.

Pettis's proudest achievement during his career was his second-place finish in Monte Rosa Tour #6 behind only teammate Damin Iacob. The two riders became the first duo in thirteen seasons to take both first and second in a tour's General Classification. Pettis also has a seventh-place finish in Monta Rosa Tour and a fourth-place finish in Volta ao Porto to his credit, as well as a win in CoN Dehli. His 13 DH results including 5 DH wins cement his place among the world's most accomplished downhill specialists.
